Peggy Morley & Tim De Rose Exhibition @ Gallery Raymond

Greetings! Gallery Raymond is proud to present a joint show of new works by Peggy Morley and Tim De Rose.
This is our second exhibition for both of these artists. Their work will be shown in the back gallery and in the Warehouse Gallery.

Peggy Morley's richly textured encaustic pieces (using heated beeswax infused with coloured pigment) depict flowers in a way that pushes them toward abstraction.

"Peggy Morley's Primary Motivation in her work is colour. Employing a fine balance between gestural freedom and control, her paintings explore the beauty of common objects in everyday life."

Tim's playful use of bold colour enlivens landscapes in a variety of styles. His most recent trip to Kenya has inspired his new work.

Tim De Rose has made a name for himself as a potter at Wilton PotteryBut in the off-season he moves from the potter's wheel to the canvas and paint brushes. His large and expressive canvases often explore the area around Wilton, or as far away as Kenya. He has had numerous exhibitions throughout Ontario, and several in Kingston.
The Opening is part of Downtown Kingston's "Art After Dark" and takes place Thursday May 27th from 7 to 10 p.m. with Peggy and Tim present.
Come and meet the artists and chat about their work.
Wine and cheese will be served. The show will continue until June 21.
Hope to see you there!
