KINGSTON BUSKERS RENDEZVOUS NEXT WEEK!

What started as a fun addition to Downtown Kingston's July Sidewalk Sale
is now
in its 22nd year and is known as one of the preeminent festivals of its
kind in Canada. This
year's event, presented by The Kingston Whig-Standard, runs from July 8
– 11. A great
mix of new, returning and original buskers will delight audiences of all
ages.

Highlights of the 22nd Edition of the Kingston Buskers Rendezvous:
Special Events
Daily:
Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 11am to 6pm
Daytime dazzlers - Buskers performing for you on the streets and street
corners all over Downtown Kingston!
Busker Play - Especially for children

Thursday, Friday and Saturday - 11am to 1pm on the lawn at St. Andrew's
Church
Princess Street Performances
Thursday, Friday & Saturday - 1pm to 3pm
Princess Street road closure between Bagot & Wellington Streets. Don't
miss these traffic stoppin' Busker performances!
The Whig-Standard Way (Ontario Street) & Market Square Performances
Thursday & Friday- 6pm to 10pm
Saturday - 3pm to 10pm
Sunday - 11am to 6pm
The Whig-Standard Way (Ontario Street) will be closed between Johnson
and Brock Streets to
make room for dozens of performances featuring spectacular displays of
sight and sound! Springer
Market Square performances begin at 6pm.

"Grand Giggles"- Indoor matinee!
Memorial Hall, City Hall
Friday July 9 - 2pm

Fire Show - HOT, HOT, HOT!
Saturday July 10 - 10pm
Princess Street between Division and Barrie (The Hub) will be the site
of this fiery red-hot display
of busking talent. The Fire Show is not to be missed! Presented by The Hub

Kid's Tent
Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday – 11am to 3pm
Located in Confederation Park, this is where you'll find four full days
worth of wildly entertaining
children's performers, programming and workshops suitable for kids of
all ages!
And don't miss the Jester Hat Workshops by The Rocking Horse in the
Kid's Tent daily 1-3 pm
It's free – come and be part of the Festival fun and make your very own
busker hat!
Thursday only – a loonie to a local charity for your jester hat
and…

The Grand Finale!
Sunday July 11 - 6pm
Make your way to Confederation Park stage for the Buskers Grand Finale.
It's a true sampling of
the festival's fun and talent! Presented by The Kingston Whig-Standard.
Proceeds from the "hat"
will benefit the United Way's "Success by Six" program.

The Official Busker Information Booth is located onsite, immediately
beside the Tourism
Information Office, 209 Ontario Street. Hours of operation are 11am to
